Ganesh chathurdhi is not only praying to ganesha but it is also about giving back to environment. Paatha roojulloo ponds, lakes pudika teesi aa matti thoo vinayakudini chesevaaru and varsha kaalam loo mallee nellu nidevi, nimajjanam chesinappudu vese akshinthalu, flowers avee nellalloo unde chepalaki aaharam ayyevi.
To keep our ganesha eco friendly we used all purpose flour, salt and water as the main ingredients for the dough. We mixed food colours to get different shades of dough. Common spices from the kitchen have been used for decoration. food colour thoo nee bottu and other parts hightlight chesaamu... So nimajjanam chesinappudu aa spices will go back as food for fish or might be used as seeds for new plants :) My son and I enjoyed making our ganesha a lot!!!
